On Sunday, the victim was El Salvador who eliminated the Under-23 team from the Olympics last year.  The result was a 5-1 rout and 9th straight win.  Landon Donovan scored one goal and had three assists giving him 54 goals and 55 assists for his career.  In the five games since returning to the team, Donovan has had 5 goals and 7 assists.

Newly blonde Eddie Johnson scored a mere 14 seconds after substituting in.

With the win, the U.S. has now advanced to the semifinal of the CONCACAF Gold Cup for the seventh consecutive time, and 11 times out of 12 total. The U.S. faces Honduras in Dallas on Wednesday.
