Was a big fan of Sam during his Clippers years. I always remember the cocky smile on his face as he dribbled up against Raja Bell that evaporated as he got called for 8 seconds (a rule I didn’t know existed). Changed the series unfortunately.
Sam Cassell enjoyed a lengthy career as an NBA point guard, but only after an arduous college basketball journey. At age 20, he began playing junior college ball with San Jacinto College outside Houston. Then, at age 22, he transferred to Florida State.
