US Stuns Dutch Team in Amsterdam 4-3

Since Our Last Episode . . .

Since the World Cup, the U.S. Men’s team has been 3-4-3 in international friendly matches (1-0-2 at home).

Wins included Czech Republic (currently #16), Panama (#54), Mexico (#23).

Losses included Columbia (#4), Ireland (#60), Chile (#19) and Denmark (#29).

Draws included Ecuador (#31), Honduras (#75) and Switzerland (#11).


This week #27 USA played #6 Netherlands in Amsterdam, who they have a 0-4-0 record against after being outscored 7-1 in the four games.

Team USA fell down 3-1 early in the second half and was down 3-2 with less than 3:00 minutes of regulation time to play when Danny Williams tied the game.

Then with left than 30 second. in regulation, Bobby Wood stunned the Amsterdam crowd with the winner.

Next . . .

June 10th the MNT will face #1 Germany in Cologne.  The MNT is 3-7-0 against Germany and has never won in Germany. Their last match up was in the last game of Group Play in the World Cup.
